Company Description

Fagron is a global leader in pharmaceutical compounding—the practice of creating personalized medications tailored to individual patient needs. When standard mass-produced medicines aren't suitable (wrong dose, wrong form, or allergies to certain ingredients), compounding pharmacists work with Fagron's ingredients, equipment, and expertise to create custom solutions. The company operates through three segments: Essentials (raw pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients), Brands (finished compounding products and ready-to-use formulas), and Compounding Services (sterile outsourcing facilities that prepare customized medications for hospitals and clinics). Fagron also runs the Fagron Academy, training pharmacists and prescribers in compounding techniques. Founded in Rotterdam in 1990 by Ger van Jeveren, Fagron grew through acquisitions to become a multinational present in 35 countries. The company was formerly known as Arseus NV before rebranding in 2015. Fagron is listed on both Euronext Brussels and Euronext Amsterdam, and is included in the BEL Mid and Amsterdam Small Cap indices. Headquartered in Rotterdam (while legally incorporated in Belgium) with approximately 4,000 employees, Fagron generated record sales of €209 million in Q1 2024. The company is led by CEO Rafael Padilla and has been recognized with a Carbon Score of 'A' in the 2024 BE.Truth sustainability index. Fagron's personalized medicine approach addresses the growing trend toward individualized healthcare.
